MAJID AL FUTTAIM Carrefour loyalty card terms and conditions

 

Article 1 – Subject Matter

Carrefour MyCLUB is a loyalty program operated by MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C, a limited liability company incorporated and existing under the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the local laws and regulations of the Emirate of Dubai, registered under trade license no. 240254, having its address at P.O. Box 22797, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Carrefour MyCLUB loyalty program is available in participating Carrefour and Carrefour Market stores and on the Carrefour Web store CARREFOURUAE.COM in the United Arab Emirates.

These terms and conditions relate to the membership, earning, redeeming and rules of Carrefour MyCLUB loyalty program.

Article 2 – Terms and conditions acceptance

The use of the Carrefour MyCLUB loyalty card signifies the unconditional acceptance of the following terms and conditions that the subscriber acknowledges having read and accepted at the time of Carrefour MyCLUB’s registration.

Article 3 – Membership

The Carrefour MyCLUB loyalty card is free of charge for life and is immediately available upon request in participating Carrefour and Carrefour Market stores for any person who is 18 years of age. It is strictly one loyalty account number per household (same address). The subscriber will be issued with four physical cards (one big and 3 small) with the same loyalty account number, for the subscriber and the household.

To join Carrefour MyCLUB, the subscriber must be registered on the loyalty website www.carrefourmyclub.com or in store by completing the information of the Carrefour MyCLUB registration form. The registration is validated within 24 hours. The registration must be done within 90 days following the first use of the card. After this notice, MAJID AL FUTTAIM Hypermarkets LLC removes the loyalty account and all acquired benefits.

The Carrefour MyCLUB loyalty card cannot be duplicated and/or used for any purposes other than those provided for in these terms and conditions. The loyalty card may not be transferred or used by anyone other than its subscriber and members of the household, for any reason.

Article 4 – Earning

The Carrefour MyCLUB loyalty card allows its cardholder to earn points: 0.05 point for every 1 Dirham spent and when making qualifying purchases at participating Carrefour and Carrefour Market stores in the United Arab Emirates.

In order to collect points, the loyalty card must be handed to the checkout service before payment or if the customer is using Carrefour Web store CARREFOURUAE.COM, the MyCLUB loyalty account number must be entered once for all.

Cardholders cannot earn points when purchasing the following items: gift cards, pharmacy, parapharmacy, existing (extended warranty, Nol, Salik, Etisalat, Du) and future services.

Article 5 – Redeeming

On the condition that the loyalty account is registered, when the cardholder accumulates 500 points, he will automatically receive a 50 Dirham loyalty discount at the checkout in store. A maximum of 4 discounts can be printed at a time. This 50 Dirham loyalty discount can be used against the cardholder’s next purchase in participating Carrefour and Carrefour Market stores in the United Arab Emirates and on the Carrefour Web store CARREFOURUAE.COM for an amount greater or equal to 50 Dirham within the expiry date specified on the loyalty discount.

In the case of technical problems printing of the 50 Dirham loyalty discount, the discount will be automatically printed at the time of next purchase after a period of 24 hours. The cardholder could also ask the customer service to print it.

The 50 Dirham loyalty discount is non refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash and no change will be given. Each 50 Dirham loyalty discount is linked to the loyalty account which has received it and can’t be used by another loyalty account.

Article 6 – Loyalty account information

Once the 24 hours registration period has passed, the cardholder can access his loyalty account information:

  • At the customer service desk or by calling the customer call center.
  • On each receipt: information on previous and new points balance, points earned, 50 Dirhams loyalty discount redeemed and awaiting collection will be available.
  • On his personal loyalty space at www.carrefourmyclub.com : information on previous and new points balance, points earned, 50 Dirhams loyalty discount redeemed and awaiting collection, personal details given at the time of registration.

The cardholder can modify his personal details anytime via the following: - At the customer service desk or by calling the customer call center - On his personal space at www.carrefourmyclub.com

Article 7 – Claim and item refund

In case of a cardholder contesting missing points, 50 Dirham loyalty discounts, points balance, the cardholder has seven days to formulate his claim to the concerned store or to the customer call center.
In case of an item being refunded, the points earned thanks to this item will be deducted from the loyalty account. If the loyalty account does not have sufficient number of points to deduct from the account, the missing points number multiplied by the point value in Dirham (0.05 Dirham) will be deducted from the item refund.

Article 8 – Loss, theft, damage

The cardholder is responsible for any loss, theft or damage of his loyalty cards and must immediately inform the store if this occurs. The cardholder can request a new loyalty account with the delivery of new loyalty cards.
MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C. declines any responsibility during the period between the loss, theft or damage and the declaration of the loss, theft or damage by the cardholder.
Any points accrued on the lost, stolen or damaged loyalty card at the time of the declaration will be transferred to the new loyalty account.

Article 9 – Removal

The Carrefour MyCLUB loyalty card is the property of MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C.

The Carrefour MyCLUB loyalty card can be immediately suspended or terminated by MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C at any time if, in MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C reasonable opinion, that a Card Member:

  • has breached these terms and conditions;
  • has behaved fraudulently;
  • has supplied false or misleading information to MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C; or
    In this case the cardholder will lose all the acquired benefits and any right of use.

If the Carrefour MyCLUB loyalty card is not used during a continuous period of 12 months, MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C.will remove the loyalty account and the cardholder will lose all the acquired benefits and will not be able to use his Carrefour MyCLUB loyalty card anymore.
If a cardholder wishes to close his Carrefour MyCLUB loyalty account, he could return his cards in store with a written notification stipulating his demand, his name, last name, loyalty account number and signature.

Article 10 – Responsibility

MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C. is exempted from any responsibility for any direct or indirect consequences linked to any malfunction; nevertheless it will do the best to keep all the cardholder’s acquired benefits.
MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C. is exempted from any responsibility for any direct or indirect consequences linked to any fraudulent use or non-accordance use with these terms and conditions.

Article 11 – Terms and conditions modification or cancelation

MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C. reserves the right to modify or cancel some or all of these terms and conditions.

Article 12- General

These terms and any disputes or claims arising out of, or in connection with, its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the United Arab Emirates.
